Published October 21, 2026

You comb your hair in the mirror and stop. That line of scalp down the middle looks wider than it used to. It looks wider in photos. Under the bathroom light, it looks worse. You aren't making it up, and you don't have to live with it.

Why is my part getting wider?

Your part gets wider when the hairs along it get thinner and fewer. Each strand shrinks a little, so more scalp shows through the line. Hormone shifts and stress push it along. The fix is to work on the scalp right at that line, every day. Crowned by Her Part does that. Rub it in along your part with the Fingertip Trick, and you get fuller, thicker-looking hair on both sides of the line.

What is Crowned? Crowned by Her Part is a water-based peptide scalp serum for women with thinning hair. You rub it in with the Fingertip Trick, and it gives you fuller, thicker-looking hair.

Close up that line of scalp

Crowned by Her Part is a light, water-based peptide serum you rub right into your part. One minute a day with the Fingertip Trick, and you get fuller, thicker-looking hair where the scalp used to show.

The line you check every morning

It starts small. You catch it in the car mirror. Then in a friend's photo, the one shot from above. Now you check it every morning before you leave the house.

You flip your hair to the other side. You try a zigzag. You pat on powder and hope nobody hugs you. It still shows. That pink stripe is the first thing you see when you look at yourself, and you think it's the first thing everyone else sees too.

You start to dread bright rooms, sunny days and the salon chair with the big light right over your head. A wider part makes you look tired and older than you feel, and you're sick of it.

What makes your part spread

Hair grows in a cycle. Each strand grows for years, rests, sheds, and then a new one takes its place. When your hormones shift, the growing stage gets shorter. New hairs come in finer. Fewer hairs grow at the same time.

Your part is where you see it first. It's a straight line with no hair lying on top of it. So every thin strand next to it shows. The same thing happens on top of your head. Read hair thinning at the crown if you see it there too, and estrogen and hair loss in menopause for the hormone side.

Shedding or thinning: how to tell

Look at your brush and your shower drain. Big clumps that show up all at once, after a hard few months, point to shedding. A part that spreads slowly, month after month, with finer hairs, points to thinning.

Either way, your plan stays the same. Put Crowned on that line every day and leave it there. Your scalp gets what it needs right where you see the gap.

Why the cover-ups let you down

Hiding a wide part is a full-time job. Powder comes off on your pillow and your hands. Moving your part only moves the problem to a new line. Hair oils weigh your roots down, so they go flat and the scalp shows even more.

Gummies go to your stomach first. Your part gets whatever is left. We go deep on that in why biotin didn't change your mirror. Cover-ups buy you a day. If you want tips for a hard day, read how to hide a thinning part. Then go fix the line for good.

Why Crowned is made for a wider part

Crowned is light and water-based. Water is the first thing on the label. It sinks in fast and leaves your roots clean, so your part never looks wet or flat.

Inside are five peptides. Four of them are modeled on growth factors studied in the hair cycle: aFGF, bFGF, IGF-1 and VEGF. Then there's saw palmetto, rosemary, Scutellaria root, arginine and vitamin E. See the full list under what's inside.

As of 2026, Crowned is made for women with thinning hair and ships only in the US. It goes on the exact line that bugs you, every day, and it stays there.

Stop hiding the line

Five peptides, saw palmetto and rosemary in a serum that disappears into your scalp. Crowned by Her Part gives you fuller, thicker-looking hair along your part, so you can wear your hair the way you want.

The Fingertip Trick

Comb your hair where your part looks widest. Put a few drops of Crowned right on the scalp there. Now use your fingertips. Rub in small, slow circles until the serum is gone. Leave it on. Style your hair like always, or go to bed. That's one minute a day.

Your fingertips push the serum down onto your scalp, where your hair grows. A dropper alone leaves it sitting on top of your hair. That's the whole Fingertip Trick. Do it every single day.

Then move over an inch, make a new line with your comb, and do it again. Cover the whole stretch that bugs you.

What you'll see at Day 30, 60 and 90

Hair grows on a slow clock. Each strand grows for years, rests for two to three months, then falls out so a new one can start (Paus and Cotsarelis, 1999). Crowned works with that clock, so the wins stack up in order.

  • Day 30: Your hair feels softer. It has more shine and more lift at the root. The line looks less harsh in the mirror.
  • Day 60: The hair along your part looks thicker where it grows from. You stop checking it every morning.
  • Day 90: Your part looks narrower and fuller. Less scalp in photos. You stop flipping your hair to hide it.

Use it every day. Do that, and by Day 90 the mirror shows it.

What you'll catch yourself saying

"I wore my hair down in the sun and never gave it a thought."

"I don't flip it to the other side anymore."

"My part looks like mine again."

Frequently asked questions

Can a widening part be fixed?

Yes, you can fix how it looks. Put Crowned on the line every day with the Fingertip Trick. By Day 90 your part looks narrower, with fuller, thicker-looking hair on both sides.

Is a wider part normal for women?

It's very common. Lots of women see it as their hair gets finer with hormone changes. Common doesn't mean you keep it. Crowned gives you fuller, thicker-looking hair along your part.

Should I move my part to the other side?

Moving it hides the line for a day or two. Then the wind blows, and the old line shows again. Use Crowned on the line and wear your part where you like it.

How long until my part looks fuller with Crowned?

At Day 30 your hair feels softer with more lift at the root. At Day 60 it looks thicker where it grows from. By Day 90 your part looks fuller.

Will Crowned make my part look greasy?

No. Crowned is water-based. Water is the first thing on the label. It sinks in fast and leaves your roots clean, so your part looks fresh all day.
